This summer, the Sylvan Lake Chamber of Commerce is inviting our members, businesses, and community to come together for The Chamber Challenge: A Summer of Giving.
At first glance, it sounds like a challenge between Chambers. In reality, we’re hoping for the exact opposite.
Our vision is a collective effort across Central Alberta. An opportunity for Chambers to work together, encourage participation within our boards, staff teams, memberships, and communities, and support a cause that impacts everyone.
We’re hoping Chambers will create their own Partners for Life team and encourage donations this summer. Share your efforts on social media and tag us. We’ll help spread the word too.
Join the Sylvan Lake Chamber Team
Getting involved is easy. Simply join our Partners for Life team through one of these ways:
- Searching for Sylvan Lake Chamber of Commerce in the GiveBlood app and selecting “Join Team,”
- Entering our team code: SYLV012169, or
- Following the registration link provided.
Then, book a blood donation appointment any time from now through August 31, 2026, whenever it works for your schedule.
We’re challenging all of our members to roll up their sleeves this summer and make a donation. Whether you’re a long-time donor or considering your first appointment, every donation helps save lives.

An Extra Challenge
We’d love to see you take it one step further.
Invite someone who has never donated before to join you.
Our own Sarah Rollingson, Member Services and Operations Manager, recently rolled up her sleeves to donate and brought her son along as a first-time donor. Moments like that are exactly what this initiative is about.
Canadian Blood Services needs one million new donors over the next five years to keep pace with growing demand. While returning donors are essential, encouraging someone to donate for the first time could create a lifelong habit of giving.
Share the Challenge
Tag the Sylvan Lake Chamber on social media when you donate, share your experience, and challenge your colleagues, friends, family members, or neighbouring businesses to do the same.
We’re also encouraging Chambers across Central Alberta to join us. This isn’t about competition. It’s about collaboration and showing the impact our business communities can have when we work together.
The need for blood doesn’t belong to one community, one industry, or one organization. It belongs to all of us.
We believe Chambers are at their best when they bring people together around something meaningful. This summer, we have an opportunity to do exactly that.
