Two years ago when the idea of a Winter Village became a reality, it was because a group of concerned business owners, the Town and Chamber wanted to do something to help revitalize Sylvan Lake in the winter months. This passion project is now in its third year and could not have been done without public and private sponsorship.
The initial goal of the Winter Village was to light up the pier - but the goal of our Chair Doug McGill, President of Blackstone Developments, is for the lights from Sylvan Lake to be seen from space, and we're not too sure he's joking!
Last year the Winter Village Committee organized an exclusive sneak peek event for sponsors and VIPs. It allowed us to say thank you in a more personal way and allowed sponsors, their families and their teams to share enjoy the Winter Village light-up apart from the crowds. We're going to do that again and event plans are well underway.
Other plans include lighting more of the pier, illuminating the outdoor skating rink, a memorable public light up, some 'not so silent nights' of Christmas caroling, more bonfires, a Centennial Street Snowman Parade, and more site programming. Christmas at the Winter Village will be front and center in December, but the show will go on for January and February.
Every cent of the funds raised helps light up the lake, bring the community together and attract people to Sylvan Lake in the colder months.
- Platinum Sponsorship $1000
- Gold Sponsorship $500
- Silver Sponsorship $250
All sponsors will be recognized on the sponsor board from December - March at the site and will be invited to attend a very private, super top secret light-up event with music, beverages, and lots of seasonal cheer.

Thank you, in advance, for helping us bring some winter magic to Sylvan Lake this year. It takes a village!
